Our History

Jonesville Middle School opened in the fall of 2000 in the Jonesville community on the outskirts of Bowdon.  The school opened with approximately 535 students and 64 staff members serving the communities of Bowdon and Mt. Zion.  The Jonesville mascot was the Jaguars through the 2006-2007 school year.  In the fall of 2007, the Jonesville Jaguars became the Jonesville Red Devils since the school was no longer serving the Mt. Zion community.  In the summer of 2011, the school name was changed to Bowdon Middle School to reflect the change to a community school.  Bowdon Middle School is currently home to approximately 340 students in grades 6-8.
